The FDR-X1000V supports XAVC S recording to offer professional quality high-bitrate recording for the home movie maker. Advanced manual settings let you take control of your footage, allowing you to optimise settings like white balance and AE shifting.

A built-in stereo microphone captures great audio to go along with your footage, while the Wind Noise Reduction feature helps reduce distracting background wind noise.

Not just limited to video, the FDR-X1000V lets you freeze the action by shooting 8.8 megapixel still images. For the perfect shot burst shooting lets you capture a maximum of 10 shots in a quick burst, letting you pick the best.

Create a unique photograph with Motion Shot LE, which lets you capture an entire action sequence in a single frame – resulting in an impressive composite image of a subject in motion.

Wireless technology

The FDR-X1000VR features built-in WiFi with NFC, letting you connect to compatible smart devices with just one touch. Once connected you'll be able to upload your footage and quickly edit it with the PlayMemories app, before sharing it with friends and family.

The PlayMemories app also lets you remotely control the camera from your smartphone and provide a live view – ideal when setting up your shot or taking a group photo.
